Murder at the Grand Alpine Hotel drops us into a glamorous Swiss Alps escape. This one is all snowy glamour, old secrets, champagne, furs, suspicion, and a killer trapped inside a luxury Swiss hotel. Unfortunately for everyone checking in… murder is exactly what they get. With a blizzard cutting off the hotel and Miss Marple quietly watching everyone around her, the story turns into a delicious mix of old grudges, hidden motives and classic whodunit tension. So what are we drinking while we read? Brut Champagne. 🥂 It feels made for this book. Crisp, dry and elegant, Champagne fits the polished Grand Alpine setting, but those sharp little bubbles also feel right for a story where everything underneath the surface is a little more dangerous than it appears. This pairing is less “curl up by the fire” and more “put on something fabulous, pour the bubbles and start suspecting everyone.” 🥂 The Read: Murder at the Grand Alpine Hotel by Lucy Foley 🥂 The Pour: Brut Champagne or sparkling Elderflower drink with lemon
